The connecting rod bush is a genuine Yuchai engine part, part number L3000-1004052C-P, pressed into the small end of the rod to form the bearing surface for the piston pin. A worn bush allows play at the piston pin and can cause light knocking. It is commonly renewed together with piston pins during an engine overhaul.
