The clutch plate cover, or pressure plate, is a Yuchai part, part number Y430T280-10P1-1. Bolted to the flywheel, it clamps the clutch disc to transmit engine power to the gearbox. Slipping, judder, a heavy pedal or heat-damaged fingers are signs it should be replaced. It is usually changed together with the clutch disc and release bearing.
